Governance

The IMPACT programme is overseen by an Independent Advisory Board, and managed by the Programme Management Group (PMG).  The South Asian Group for Equitable partnership (SAGE) group meets to promote south-south collaboration.

There are also Working Groups for Capacity Building and Partnerships & Impact.

Study management teams are responsible for the day to day running of each research study; these all report to the PMG.

IMPACT Independent Advisory Board

The Independent Advisory Board for IMPACT meets twice a year and is chaired by Professor Adnan Hyder – Senior Associate Dean for Research and Professor of Global Health at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, George Washington University, USA.

Other members are global health experts who bring their combined experience to guide our activities.

IMPACT Programme Management Group

The IMPACT Programme Management Group meets every 2 months and is chaired by the Programme Manager, Anthonia James. The PMG is the main decision making body for the programme and includes the programme co-directors, leads for each partner organisation, capacity building, and study and workstream leads. South Asian Group for Equitable partnership (SAGE)

SAGE aims to promote greater South-South collaboration.  It also ensures equitable leadership and decision-making across North-South partner countries.

The group meets monthly to provide strategic direction to enable delivery of IMPACT’s goals. SAGE also looks at the growth of the programme beyond current plans. Members are the country leads for Bangladesh, Pakistan and India, with the Programme Co-Director in attendance. SAGE reports to the Programme Management Group.
